 Newest model improved with screw on vent tube., By This review is from: Seasense 6 Gallon Fuel Tank 2011 (Carb) (Sports) I had this same tank which was purchased in 2010. Last week I called the manufacturer and informed them that the tank was leaking around the base of the vent tube, and they sent me a brand new tank at no charge. I received the new one yesterday, and it now has a removable vent tube with a rubber type gasket which makes this thing 100% leakproof. Also, I can now replace the fuel filter and pick up tube if ever needed. They've also improved the gas cap with a self-ratcheting (clicks when tight) fuel cap. Hopefully you will get the updated version if you order this tank. I bought 2 tanks, and on both of them the pickup tube faces towards the fuel cap which does not allow a fuel line to be connected, as there is not enough space Fuel leaks when not leveled =========================== My tanks are stored in a light angle (not otherwise possible), for access the fuel cap and fuel pickup line are at the lower point. Probably because of the fuel pickup issue mentioned above, fuel is leaking out of the pickup tube, even thought it is close to being complete tighten.
