Wind and rain would definitely give it a run for it's money, and I would not want to rely on it for all meals. But in a pinch, this thing can cook food and boil water in a reasonable amount of time, and I found that adding twigs and leaves if needed could extend the life of the fuel tablets. So it is decent in warm weather. I love the fact that it is so light weight and compact to carry. Fuel tabs are expensive if you use it often, but you can supplement it with candles when you are not in a rush to drink or eat something hot.
